Blended Irish whiskey, 2 Gingers, helped Brian Scalabrine – aka White Mamba – celebrate his official return to Boston this week by putting the former NBA player behind the bar at Granary Tavern to mix drinks such as the “Big Ginger” and “Skinny Ginger” before he embarks on his duties as Comcast SportsNet NBA television analyst. The 6-9 Scalabrine played 11 years in the NBA – four seasons with New Jersey, five with Boston and two with Chicago – before retiring and becoming an assistant coach and now, sportscaster.

2 Gingers is made in Ireland, bottled in Minnesota and bankrolled by Jim Beam is launching its product in Boston as part of its nationwide expansion after beginning life as a Minnesota-only Irish whiskey.
