Speyside Brings Byron To Your Holiday Party
Speyside Distillery is very fond of their famous poet son, Lord Byron, because not only do they celebrate his poet greatness with specific themed bottles of whisky, they even celebrate his two-year marriage 200 years after it happened, with a special limited edition bottle of whisky. In this case, it is a whisky called Byron’s Choice that celebrates his 1815 wedding anniversary to Annabelle Millbanke, which lasted all of two years, but that is good enough of an occasion to produce a bottle of single malt Scotch whisky. Byron’s Choice was aged in port wine casks and bottled at 46% alcohol content [92 proof].
Only 1200 bottles of Byron’s Choice single malt Scotch whisky have been produced and will be sold for $145 per bottle this holiday season.
