A 42-Year-Old Ledaig Dusgadh Joins The Rare Single Malt Fray
There is a new single malt Scotch whisky release on the block – a 42-Year-Old Ledaig Dusgadh from Tobermory Distillery – the only distillery on the Scottish Isle of Mull. The 42-Year-Old Ledaig is unique due to its long dormant period in its maturation process [as reflected in the name – “Dusgadh” is Gaelic for “awakening”]. The whisky is said to impart distinct smoky notes.
Only 500 bottles of Tobermory Ledaig Dusgadh 42-Year-Old will be released in Asia, North America and the UK for a hefty price of $5300 per bottle.
