anCnoc Gets Peaty With Peatlands
anCnoc has brought out a peatier version of its Highland single malt Scotch whisky with the introduction of Peatlands – a whisky aged more than a decade in American oak ex-bourbon barrels. Peatlands uses spring water from the Knock Hill area near anCnoc’s Knockdhu distillery and carries a phenol count of nine parts per million.
Peatlands, however, is a limited edition [6,600 bottles] whisky that will only be distributed in Europe and Scandinavia for $80 per 700-ml bottle.
