Batch 16 Coming From The GlenDronach
The GlenDronach Distillery has released Batch 16 – casks ranging from 11 to 28 years old, distilled between 1989-2006 and most matured in Spanish oak sherry casks.
Among the highlights in The GlenDronach Batch 16 are a 28-Year-Old distilled in 1989 in a Sherry butt [notes of fruitcake and walnut], a 22-Year-Old distilled in 1995 [notes of toffee and honey], an 11-Year-Old distilled in 2006 [notes of nutmeg and cocoa].
The GlenDronach’s Batch 16 features somewhere between 513 and 698 bottles from each cask with ABV [alcohol by volume] ranging from 49.4% [98.8 proof] for the 28-Year-Old 1989 Pedro Ximenez Sherry Puncheon to a whopping 58.5% [117 proof] for the 25-Year-Old 1992 Sherry Butt.
