Cask 88 Reveals Quarter Cask Series
Cask 88 has released their quarter cask series featuring whisky from Bunnahabhain, Highland Park, Caol Ila and Bladnoch.
Cask 88 Bladnoch is the oldest whisky in the series at 27 years. Cask 88 Bladnoch was matured in an ex-sherry hogshead before being finished in an ex-sherry quarter cask for nine months and then bottled at 55.6% alcohol by volume [111.2 proof]. Cask 88 Bladnoch is being made available for $570 per bottle.
Cask 88 Caol Ila is a nine-year-old that was aged in a refill hogshead before being finished in an ex-sherry quarter cask for nine months, bottled at 58.9% alcohol by volume [117.8 proof] and is being made available for $240 per bottle.
Cask 88 Bunnahabhain is also a nine-year-old that was matured in a refill ex-sherry butt, before spending three months in an ex-sherry quarter cask, then bottled at 57.8% alcohol by volume [115.6 proof] and is also being made available for $240 per bottle.
Last but not least is the 14-year-old Cask 88 Highland Park, aged in an ex-Bourbon hogshead before being finished in an ex-sherry quarter cask for seven months. Cask 88 Highland Park was bottled at 54.8% alcohol by volume [109.6 proof] and is being made available for $155 per bottle.
