So, why Kentucky? Oh, right. The water. Seems a little shady to me.

Lol I'm from Kentucky. It's not the water. It's because there's nothing to do here BUT drink whiskey.

I haven't had a good bourbon in a while. Next question, do you guys like it neat or on the rocks? I want it neat when I come home from work and on the rocks when I get it from a bar or a club.

I normally drink it on the rocks. Occassionaly it done with the old fashioned bourbon and water. And, rarely, and please don't shoot me for this, in the form of a Bourbon Supremo (bourbon and tonic water).

I have been on the Bourbon trail. Naturally, I had to buy some Makers Mark while on the trail. There are plenty of great whiskey's to be found though and the best prices seem to be in the drug stores.

I almost always drink on the rocks since I find the taste of ice cold whiskey to be far better to my taste buds than if it is at room temperature. I can drink it warm if I must, but I prefer to have it cold.

I prefer it on the rocks! Ice cold whisky taste so good! I have had it on occasion warm but it is really not my preferred choice.

It seems to me that bourbon is more popular south of the border from where I am,, so it is hard to have a good discussion about it around my parts of the world. Still, whenever I hear someone talking about how much they enjoy a good whiskey (and around here, whiskey automatically means rye), I will try to steer them to trying a fine bourbon like Jim Beam or Wild Turkey, which are two of my favorites and are in keeping with the traditional bourbon taste. Unlike drinkers of rye, bourbon drinkers want to taste the alcohol and don't drown it in a big glass of iced down coca cola as is the habit in the north, so trying to convince some of these people to try it without the training wheels on, is a little hard but well worth the effort. Once I get someone to try it neat or on ice I've got a good chance of creating a full fledged bourbon convert..

When I was on vacation down south I got to try Wild Turkey. I actually really liked it. We can't get it up north so its a special treat when I go down south for a visit!

Wild Turkey is pretty widespread. It's not very good as far as a bourbon would go. I think I'd prefer to go with someones small batch brew in the backwoods of Kentucky haha.

I have never tried Wild Turkey but I am sure it is sold here in our ABC store since I am in Virginia. It sounds like it would be something that is good, It has been around for a very long time so if it wasn't it wouldn't be.

This sounds deliciously interesting. I've never been to Kentucky, but I know I'd be paying a visit to take part in a tasting. I've done beer tastings, but I've never touched a Bourbon tasting.

I think a Bourbon testing would be one of the things that I would like. It is just one of he things that you should maybe take advantage of at least once in your life.

Yes it would definitely be interesting and worth taking in if an event like that ever happened in this area. If it does you can count me in.
