My favorite place for whiskey is Delilah's. Theyve got a huge selection (largest in the city I've heard) and the atmosphere is very laid back compared to most places that stock lots of whiskey. Most would consider it a punk bar but I think the clientele is too varied to pigeon-hole it. Definitely give it a shot to try out some whiskey you've never had.
I have only been to Chitown a couple of times. There are so many great places to go there, that it would be hard to narrow down a place to go, thanks for the suggestion.
The Monkey's Paw is another good bar to sip on some smooth whiskey. I've heard of Delilah's and heard that they may be the number one spot in the city for a great whiskey experience.

I've never been to Chicago, but I've heard about them having killer pizza and an awesome bar scene. I wouldn't mind checking out a few bars when I do get around to visiting. I would love to check out Delilah's, especially if it has a reputation for being a punk rock bar. That just makes it more appealing to me.
I have never been to Chicago either but I have heard so many good things about it. I was at the Chicago airport once just passing through and I did have some great pizza there. I am hoping someday to get there. I have friends there who are always inviting me but I just never seem to have the time or the money for a mini vacation.
I've never been to Chicago, but I've heard abo This is another thing that I would love to try in Chicago. I've heard that their pizza is great. We have a "Chicago Pizza House" that is run by people out of Chicago, but I don't know how accurate it is. I'd love to get my hands on the real thing.
Chicago is a great city for eating and drinking! They have a big annual festival every year called WhiskyFest with tastings and classes and this is a lot of fun to meet other whiskey enthusiasts and try some new stuff. Another place I love there is called the BIG bar inside the Hyatt Regency hotel downtown, one of the longest wooden bars in the US, amazing view, and great cocktails!
Don't tell me this because now I want to go to Whiskey Fest. We don't have anything like that around here! We only have beer fests, which get super old when there's a new one around every corner for every season. I'd love to do a whiskey tasting. The wooden bar you mentioned sounds awesome. There's nothing better than sitting at a bar that is not only giving out tasty drinks, but is aesthetically pleasing as well.
Yes, I have only been to Chicago a couple of times too, and onetime it was an all day layover at the Amtrak station...how exciting..not!! but I remember the food as being awesome in the city itself. I would go back in a heartbeat.
