I'm curious about this too, I'm going to U.S this summer and NYC is one of my stops. We're surely bound to find something since the city is so big.
I think it depends on the atmosphere you are looking for. You could always do a google search on this one. Obviously, your taste in bars accounts for part of this. I have been to NYC several times..but honestly, I don't think I ever went to a bar there..15 dollar cocktails aren't for me...lol.
I like to go to bars in the Village or a local dive bar. If you are looking to go clubbing or stuff like that then you might want to look up a club promoter.
If you're a BBQ fan and anywhere near Rochester NY, then you've got to visit Dinosaur BBQ. Don't worry, they have beer too. I went there about ten years ago, have probably tried 50 different BBQ places, and this is definitely in my top 3. There's nothing else to do in Rochester, so don't plan a weekend around it!
i was in Rochester a few times. I was there once around Christmas and boy was it cold!!! It was even colder than Erie, PA my hometown...and that place is cold as well, However, I have to say the cold in Rochester was acute. I am gonna have to remember that place, if I ever find myself in the city again!
NYC has a lot of bars, so what one person thinks of as the best probably would not appeal to anyone else at all. I would simply do a web search on this topic. I am sure you could find a number of quality possibilities in that category.
There are a very good number of decent bars for tourist in the city of New York. If you are in NYC I'd ask you to check out any of the bars in Rochester, I gathered many superb bars for tourists out there.
I would be surprised to see if there is anyone who is saying anything definite here. There are just way too many around there to begin to nail down the best, in my opinion at least. That said, though, not a local here so take that for what you will.
From what I can gather, in a nutshell, I would say virtually all the bars in nyc are just good and cool for tourists
The Whiskey Tavern is a little hideaway saloon in Chinatown, dedicated to Rye, Bourbon, and Scotch. They are also pretty famous for their Bar Bites, such as Fried Pickles, Bacon Wrapped Tator Tots with Cheese, and their famous Wings. It was voted the best bar in 30 Manhattan neighborhoods.
I am also very curios to know about this.I have never visit this place in my life.Nowadays, I am thinking to make a visit to such kind of places.I would like to visit the clubs with louder music in this amazing city.
