Did you ever hear the story about the doctor blowing cigar smoke into baby Picasso's face-and the midwife who delivered him thought he would not live. The mid-wife left him to go help his mother out-and so Picasso's uncle, who was a doctor blew smoke into the baby's face -and he let out a big scream! So in this case it was very beneficial I would say?

I didn't know that story. Would you like to share a link to that so that we can read it?

If there is any good aspect associated with smoking I am completely unaware of it. In fact, I don't think they exist.

It was kind of a joke but I have heard this story a bunch of times-and they really do not go to in depth with this story about Picasso to much -but include it in some of the fun facts pages. Check out the video below with this fact(blowing smoke into his face as a baby to get him to breathe) and some other facts about Picasso also.

Nope, it sucks the life out of you and the money out of your wallet. I suppose maybe it makes you look cool for about five minutes, but then its over.

Smoking has become a symbol of success and many people end up smoking because of it: giving a good impression to others and nothing more.

"Symbol of success"? I don't think so, cigarettes are so cheap, even poor people can afford to buy them.

Yeah that symbol of success might not really fly too much anymore. Maybe with cigars I can see it, but that is a big maybe still.

It would be a miracle if there were any benefits.

Well, smokers say it relieves stress, probably because they're addicted to smoking. I wouldn't say there's any benefit otherwise. At least alcohol is actually healthy when used in moderation.

Smoking is very good when it is done in moderation. I have interacted with smokers and they have said they like the sweet smell of the smoke. Smoking is also associated with raising body temperature during cold weather. Too much smoking, however, is a predisposing factor for lung cancer.

I don't think there is any benefit at all. Most of the people who are into smoking are just wasting their time and money. And they should be understanding that there is health issue. And health is harder to recover. So one has to be understanding on that point.

Couldn't believe it but I read that smoking could actually help prevent knee replacement surgery. Smoking also reduces the risk of getting Parkinson's disease.

Yeah now that you mention it I do recall hearing that one about Parkinson's. It is kind of strange to think about but I guess everything has pros and cons.
