Seems really hard to do, especially since I was pretty addicted at one point. Even if never had been though, I would still be weary about being able to do this.

The worst part is that I cannot tolerate the smoke at all. Its smell makes me feel so dizzy. And if I inhale the smoke then I feel badly nauseated.

A patient reported at the doctor's office complaining of some health issues. The doctor kept asking do you smoke, if you do that most have contributed to your problem. The patient does not smoke but always in the midst of smokers. Can this justify that his problem could have resulted from being found in smoking environments.

All smoke or just cigarette smoke ? I just feel a burning sensation in my nose and throat if I inhale cigarette smoke, so you might be allergic or something if that's what it does to you.

Most any kind of smoke is likely to irritate you if one of them does, although cigarette smoke is much harsher for me. I can usually stand a cigar or hookah or that type, but it all depends.

I am not into smoking, both passive or active. My brother is into heavy smoking. So that is something to considering when it comes to health. I avoid smoking. And hopefully some day my brother avoids it too as well.

I really wish that your brother gives up this habit of smoking. Smoking causes nothing except spoiling every part if the body. Even I cannot stand any kind of smoking whether active or passive.

I would not hang out with smokers, because I like to keep my lungs nice and healthy-but they still claim that there is no link between passive secoundhand smoke and cancer(or some studies do)? What's interesting, is that they are curious about people living with a smoker for 30 years, and say it could be a problem though-but still I do not want to be around somebody in a bar that is smoking or in the home, because it makes me quite nauseated.

Breathing/inhaling a smoke even when you're not a smoker makes you a passive smoker. If you don't want your health to be affected by smoking, I suggest you to stay away from your friends who smoke.

Unless if you are in a place that you can't get off, you should always disappear from smoking sites to avoid the harmful effects.

I hope to see that too. I think this is not a good habit. And things are not that easy to change in some of the folks. That being said, there seems to be lot of things about passive smoking needs to be thought out.
