in alabama - whaaaa? i thought they specialized in moonshine there.... http://www.theplainsman.com/view/fu...-a-family-twist?instance=home_news_lead_story
Moonshine is all over in the south. You'll find more in West Virginia than anywhere. As for whiskey, I bet it isn't as good as what comes out of Kentucky and Tennessee.
I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to U.S locations since I live in Eastern Europe but I've heard the same things from a couple of friends. Moonshine is pretty popular.
Their whisky is sold in pubs and stores here. I have never tasted it but am going to try it out. I wish it has no hangovers!
I wish that was the case with all of the alcoholic beverages out there, but sadly that's the price we have to pay for enjoying some fine whisky. Pretty fair in my opinion.
They make plenty of moonshine South of the Mason Dixon line. Here in Virginia, there is a legal moonshine place near here. They have white lightning like 100 proof, also an Applejack type whiskey. Both of them are pretty good actually.
I have always wanted to try moonshine but have never traveled to that area. I hear lots of good things about it. It is one thing constant thing that seems to be associated with the South.
Is whiskey actually good for us? I've read there are health benefits connected with regular light consumption of whiskey.
I think that alcohol in the form of one drink a day has helath benefits. It is a known fact that drinkers live longer than tee totalers. I am sure that is because they enjoy life more. Hee haw bring on the whiskey.
lol I love the way you think! I have to agree with you! Life is much more fun when you are making the most of it and having a good time! Cheers my friend!!
How can something be bad for you when you have some many good times and good memories made while drinking it? It's good for the soul and makes one very happy so ya I would say, all's good!
I love those flavors! They just remind me of home. I am getting the urge to pour myself a glass! On the rocks! Who wants to join me?
They make whiskey in Alabama which is news to me-and they call it "Alabama-style" whiskey,in which they use a finishing process that adds dried green apples and cinnamon to it-so it sounds quite delicious and they say it really adds a smoothness to the whiskey as well.
I was told that the "moonshine" I tried was not really moonshine because it was not in the south. I am not sure how true that is, but it makes me want to go and try some southern moonshine real bad.
There is a place near here that makes flavored moonshine. I have to go to a little convenience store that has them. I want to check that out sometime soon. I have had some white lightning in the past.
Lol, any place can specialize or make whisky as long as they have the neccessary factories for making it.
