Mead isn't technically a beer, but this is the category closest to it. Some mead is mixed with beer, so I figured it's close enough. Mead is made with fermented fruit and honey, which creates a unique taste (sometimes hops is used to take away some of the sweetness). It's been around for centuries. Have you tried any? Dogfish Head came out with a drink called Midas Touch that is a beer and mead and wine hybrid in their Ancient Ale series. They say it's a 2700 year old recipe.
