Glenmorangie Making That Dornoch
Venerable Scottish distillery Glenmorangie is producing its Dornoch single malt Scotch whisky exclusively for the travel retail market. Dornoch is created after maturation in ex-bourbon American white oak barrels followed by an extra maturation session in former Amontillado sherry casks to produce a 43% alcohol content [86 proof] whisky that is said to produce notes of citrus, vanilla, toffee and smoky apples.
Glenmorangie Dornoch single malt Scotch whisky will cost $95 per bottle and be available in UK travel retail outlets only for December 2014 and January 2015 before going to worldwide travel retail outlets beginning in February 2015.
