Hello Kitty Gets Drunk
Just in case you may have thought that you had seen it all, in comes this bit of international news confirming that you haven’t. Sanrio Corporation – the company behind the pervasive Hello Kitty fad – has finally made their serious bid for the male adult market with Hello Kitty beer [their previous alcohol foray was wine – entirely for women]. The beers are made by Beck’s and come in six fruit flavors [what else?] including passionfruit, peach, banana and lime but only with 2.3% alcohol content [as one might expect].
Currently, Hello Kitty beer is being made as a limited edition brew with distribution only in China and no plans to enter the USA market.
