Jura Doubles Down For The Holidays
Jura has released a pair of whiskies for their Prestige Series – the Rare Vintage Jura 1988 and an aged Jura 28-Year-Old, which will only be available in limited quantities in travel retail locales.
The Rare Vintage Jura 1988 malt whisky has been matured in American white oak small batch Bourbon barrels before being finished in 20-Year-Old Tawny Port Pipes, then bottled at a cask strength 53.5% alcohol by volume [107 proof].
Jura 28-Year-Old, a single malt whisky, was also matured in American white oak, ex-Bourbon barrels before being bottled at 47% alcohol by volume [94 proof].
Only 1406 bottles of Rare Vintage Jura 1988 are being made available worldwide – but in select markets – for $815 per bottle.
Jura 28-Year-Old is being made available only in travel retail venues for $500 per bottle.
