Knob Creek Gets All Maple-y
Flavored whiskies are all the rage with the kids these days and Knob Creek Bourbon – not wanting to be left out in the cold without any loot from the fad – has joined the fray with Knob Creek Smoked Maple. The new flavorful addition is in honor of deceased [2004] founder Booker Noe who, according to his son and current master distiller, Fred Noe, enjoyed smoking meats and extracting maple syrup from the sugar maples on the family’s property in Kentucky.
Knob Creek Smoked Maple will be bottled at 45% alcohol content [90 proof] and is expected to be available in November 2013.
