Old School Cutty Sark Sold To French Spirits Company
Old-school bargain blended Scotch whisky Cutty Sark has been sold by owners Edrington to French spirit company, La Martiniquaise-Bardinet.
Cutty Sark Scotch Whisky was launched in 1923 and Edrington’s association with Cutty Sark originates in the 1930s. The completion of the transfer to La Martiniquaise-Bardinet is expected within a month. As part of the deal, Edrington will continue to provide blending and bottling and other associated services during a transition period.
Cutty Sark will complement other whiskies owned by La Martiniquaise-Bardinet, including Label 5, Sir Edward’s and Glen Moray Scotch whisky.
