Heaven Hill has released Pikesville Straight Rye Whiskey – a six-year-old 55% alcohol content [110 proof] whiskey from its Bernheim Distillery in Louisville. The 51% rye whiskey is said to have vanilla and spice notes. Pikesville Straight Rye Whiskey will be available for $50 per bottle in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco this summer with a larger rollout scheduled for autumn.

Camus has released a Borderies cognac every year since 2000 in numbered bottles and this year’s version has finally been released. American/Canadian brewing company Molson-Coors has formerly bought the UK rights to Swedish cider maker Rekorderlig. The cider, however, will continue to be made at its family brewery in its Swedish base city of Vimmerby. Rekorderlig is currently available in the USA, but only in three states – Florida, New Jersey and New York.

The rock band Queen has partnered with RnR Brewing to create Queen Bohemian Lager – a Czech Pilsner – using only Czech ingredients and featuring a label showing the original Queen band logo designed by late frontman, Freddie Mercury, while he was an art student at Ealing Art College in London. Bottled at 4.7% alcohol content, Queen Bohemian Lager will be available for $19 per six pack.
Tomatin Adds 36-Year-Old Highland Single Malt
Tomatin Distillery has added a 36-Year-Old Highland single malt Scotch whisky to their lineup. Batch 1 of the Tomatin 36-Year-Old emanates from former Bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks and was bottled at a cask-strength 46% alcohol content [92 proof]. Only 800 bottles of Tomatin 36-Year-Old are available beginning in July 2015.
