Sullivan’s Cove Deemed Best Whisky In The World
Tasmanian-produced single malt whisky, Sullivan’s Cove French Oak Cask, has been deemed as the best single malt whisky in the world at the World Whiskies Awards. The Tasmanian single malt defeated whisky heavyweights Aberfeldy, Bunnahabain, Glenkinchie and Glenlivet from Scotland as well as Yamazaki from Japan, to claim the honor. Judges described Sullivan’s Cove French Oak Cask as being both light and peppery as well as smooth and buttery.
Only 516 bottles of Sullivan’s Cove French Oak Cask from Barrel 525 were produced and the distillery themselves only have three bottles remaining.
