The Balvenie Is Ready To Share Their Stories
Speyside whiskymaker The Balvenie has released three single malts – a 12-year-old [The Sweet Toast of American Oak], 14-year-old [The Week of Peat], and a 26-year-old [A Day of Dark Barley] that they are calling, collectively, The Balvenie Stories.
The Balvenie’s The Sweet Toast of American Oak has been bottled at 43% alcohol by volume [86 proof] and is said to contain notes of lemon peel, butterscotch and oak spices. It is being made available for $57 per bottle.
The Balvenie’s The Week of Peat has been bottled at 48.3% alcohol by volume [96.6 proof] and is said to contain notes of honey, vanilla and citrus [aka a “classic” The Balvenie]. It is being made available for $83 per bottle.
The Balvenie’s A Day of Dark Barley has been bottled at 47.8% alcohol by volume [95.6 proof] and is said to contain notes of toffee, cinnamon and ginger spices. It is being made available for $760 per bottle.
