The flights I've been on in the US, you have to pay for the booze too. And they typically only accept credit card because it would be a hassle to do cash handling on a plane.

It is a weird law. And by weird, I mean total BS. Waiters/waitresses/bartenders should be paid at least minimum wage and then tips on top of that. I don't work in those fields, and am a salaried white collar worker, and I still find that law obnoxious.

Yah, I've generally stuck with pale lagers whilst eating calamari or related dishes. Something about the fishy, salty taste goes well with a nice, light beer. No idea why, to be honest.

It is a Japanese rice wine. The alternative spelling is Sake. It is normally served in a slightly warmed earthenware cup. I'd imagine it is available in Europe, but can't say for sure.

I can't say that I watch much in the way of television these days. Well, beyond the news, some documentaries and comedic videos on YouTube. I did binge watch the alternative history show Man in the High Castle a while back. It is kind of a dark series, but pretty interesting.
