I think it's a little bit complicated to indicate some kind of wine without considering what types of foods will be served (the best kind will always depend on them).
I think the level of addiction can be a big problem, but I taking a lot of water every single day and doing regular exercise is a great start.

I started to walk this way to make my own drinks and I confess that the results are much better than I imagined. I already managed to make great beers and wines. :)
No, I don't have it and honestly... I don't care to have any. I practically did not smoke and now I'm almost 100% clean (and I'm very happy with that).
Honestly, I can't see a better way to do this. It seems somewhat "irrational", but it's the best way.
You just have to be careful about your health, haha. :D
