Aberfeldy 16-year-old - Feel The Burn

There's a new Highland single malt Scotch whisky in town and its name is Aberfeldy 16-Year-Old from Dewar's. This single malt uses water from what is known as the Pitilie Burn, has been aged in ex-Oloroso sherry casks and bottled at 40% alcohol content [80 proof]. The notes are said to be both buttery and fruity.

Dewar's Aberfeldy 16-Year-Old is available in only 11 international markets - Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Lebanon, Netherlands, Russia, Sweden, Taiwan and the UK - for $95 per bottle.

Awesome we have it in Canada. My partner is a huge whiskey fan. That is his drink of choice. I am thinking I may pick him up one of those bottles for Christmas. He will love it.

Mmmm that sounds totally delicious!!

I have some good friends very devoted to their Scottish and Highland heritages that I'm sure would love this! So are there recipes for this or is it best drunk straight?
