Best Beer For Burgers?

Hey pals. It is summer time and that means preparing delicious hamburgers.

What are some beers you like to go with your burgers? What about burger variations and beer that goes with them? Any you avoid? Thanks for sharing. :D

Oh gosh, that is a tough one. I primarily drink wine, but also make forays into other beverages. I think it is hard to go wrong with a Michelob personally. I went to a beer tasting one time, at Busch Gardens, and the person who coordinated it, who I am sure was hired to sell beer, (take that into consideration)...said the taste of Michelob and grilled cheese were delicious together, and I am sure it would be the same for burgers.

I always enjoy a good IPA with my burger and fries. Majority of the time, I will purchase a beer called "Little Sumpins." They are absolutely delicious and pair amazing with any type of greasy food. The only downside is that the beer can be a bit heavy, but I figure the hamburger itself is going to make me feel heavy anyways. Every once in a while I will enjoy a guiness with my burger, but that is very seldom. I'm not a big fan of guiness, but for some reason I'll crave it every once in a while.

I kind of like all beers with burgers except dark beer. Have no idea why but it's like that. As for the brands I have no favourite for this and to be honest I have been on a vegetarian diet for more than two years and it's only beer for me these days. :) Nevertheless, I am a good cook, actually a former chef in several restaurants and I like to sprinkle beer on the BBQ and on the meat while it is grilling. Try it out, it's great.

Sometimes I mix eating burgers with drinking beer. If a burger is huge and kills the hunger almost right away, I take a stronger beer. Usually, it's produced bu some local breweries. I'm also fond of Czech beer. They have a clue about it!

@lexinonomous, indeed "Little Sump'n" is a good brew. I have it at times.

@djordjem87, agreed on the dark beer. I found lagers really go well with burgers and the like.

Surprisingly, they have the beer available at grocery stores in my area. It's only surprising because the beer is actually really good for something you'd find in a market. I know that Bevmo carries other versions of the brand. I've tried a ton of their varieties and they are all pretty good. :)

I actually don't really enjoy drinking beer (except for a cold Heineken) with burgers, the flavors don't really mix that well. I always drink a can of Pepsi/Coke with those.

It really depends on the burger, if it's a one from a fast food joint any beer will do but preferably a light beer, but if I make it at home a good stout goes really well with a good burger.

I think they most recommend a Pale Ale with burgers, and I might have to agree with this one. These beers have a bitterness of hops, that I guess stands up to the flavor of the hamburger. Also any kind of foods that have a bite like a mature cheese of some kind, work good with Pale Ale,so if you have a cheese burger,it would go well. I like my Pale Ale, so i would go with this kind of brew to drink with my hamburger.

I do not eat my burgers with beer but soft drinks. The few beer I tried eating hamburgers with sometimes ago didn't quite match for my liking. I then concluded that beer probably was not as good as soft drink on hamburgers.

I can't imagine any beer that fits better with burgers than the great and delicious Budweiser. For me, this beer matches with any type of burger.

Budweiser is the kind of beer that serves pretty much all the good times. It's one of my favorite beers in the whole world.

I haven't use Budweiser on any burger, I almost concluded that beer will hardly be good on one. I'm probably wrong on that. I was like soft drinks are the good match for burgers
