I have a killer bacon, beer, and cheese dip recipe. Anyone out there have a favorite recipe that includes beer?

I mix beer in the dip! However, I never reveal the type.Pizza, burritos or fries with steak, those definitely go well together with beer. Why is your secret recipe so special?![]()
I have yet to find a stew that I liked it in. Most stew recipes that I have tried to make call for Guinness. I think I'd like to try a few different types before I say Guinness is the best. Have you used or had stew with another type of beer?A bit of beer does wonders to all sorts of meat stews. That's pretty much the only thing that comes to mind though, I can't say I've used been as an ingredient in any other food.
Oh, I thought you meant what foods go well with beer as drink, but your recipe does seem pretty cool! A bread bowl might be a nice addition as well!I mix beer in the dip! However, I never reveal the type.
A bread bowl is a fantastic idea! Sourdough is my favorite.Oh, I thought you meant what foods go well with beer as drink, but your recipe does seem pretty cool! A bread bowl might be a nice addition as well!

Beer battered mushrooms sound really good! Did they fry them or bake them??Aww man I have never ever had some beer battered mushrooms but I know ever since I saw them on the food network I've wanted to try them. I am not too good of a chef so I do not know if I want to attempt to make them myself. I just don't want to ruin it so my neighbors wife keeps telling me that she will make them for me when she has to time. I guess it just hasn't happened yet. I just want a steak dinner with some of those beer battered mushrooms on the side.
I think I just found a recipie for the dip I am going to make for my super bowl gathering. Thanks for that Molly, It sounds simply awesome .and I bet it would be good to dip another of things in.The recipe that I use to make bacon, beer and cheese dip is:
- 1 (8 oz.) package of cream cheese
- 1 - 1.5 cups of sour cream
- 2 cups (at least) of shredded cheddar cheese
- Worcester sauce for taste
- l lb of bacon - crisped and shredded
- half can/bottle of favorite beer
I like to mix it all together in a large pot on the stove. Low temperatures work best. It can be served in a dish or a bread bowl. You can also bake it IN the bread bowl, but make sure to wrap the whole thing in foil so you don't burn the bread. My favorite bread to use is sourdough bread, but most bread pairs well.
