Holiday Weekend

This will be a holiday weekend for most people. Do you plan on drinking any whisky? If so what kind will it be? Is it your favorite whisky? I am dieting, so I probably won't imbibe this weekend. I plan to have a good dinner, for once but sadly alcohol is not on the list...next month I think.

Fridays and Saturdays are very cool to share a drink with you buddy at a social gathering. The drink itself doesn't really matter, actually. I love Jack and Jim. They usually top my list when it comes to whiskey.

I think you would have good company there! Share your holidays with Jack and Jim by all means. It is nice to have people too! Hopefully they will enjoy your friends as much as you do. I don't think they will turn the special beverages down.

Yes, I usually drink whiskey on most holidays because I spend then with my in-laws! Haha! I don't mean that in a bad way, they're my drinking buddies. Usually, Jim Beam or Wild Turkey.

How would you compare Wild Turkey with Jim Beam or Johnny Walker? It's pretty hard to get ahold of Wild Turkey here in Southern Europe, I always wondered if it's worth going for it.

It has a little bit of a different taste than them but I'd say it's closer to Beam just more expensive.

That's interesting, I love Jim Beam so I'd probably like Wild Turkey as well. Thanks for your input!
How much does it go for where you live?

Well time for another holiday weekend! I have a lot of wine here, so that is what I will end up drinking. Barbecues are meant for beer but I am fresh out, and am not gonna buy some just to have it.

Well, the bug bottle of Jim Beam, the one with a handle, is $30 and a bottle of Wild Turkey that's a little smaller is $50. So, it's a pretty big difference.

Wine can also go well with a BBQ and if you make a sangria it can really be a party favorite.

I am a little late in responding to this, but I tend to make holidays the time for drinking. I do not like drinking on a day to day basis. It hurts my liver and makes for a bad situation. I am always waiting around for the holidays in order to enjoy a drink. It's a nice time to be around family and friends, while enjoying a cold beer.

Well Ju;y 4th will be coming up here pretty soon. I may have a little barbecue, but I may be going up North to see family like the week after, I haven't decided yet for sure. They don't drink much, but I am sure there will be some wine around at least.

Weekends are for socializing and playing a bit of pool for me. My friends and I love just hanging out and having a few drinks, but we always seem to alternate from beers to whisky from one weekend to the next.

Its been a lot of years since I had Wild Turkey but I loved that stuff. I use to drink it whenever I went to Florida on vacation. It was the first thing I bought when I got there. I would always buy some to bring back home. It has been many years now since I've been to Florida but I sure would love to go again just to get my Wild Turkey fix.

I think that it's more enjoyable to drink on the holidays then during the regular week. Like you said being around family and friends always makes a drink taste better.

I have to agree with you there. Have a social drink with the people enjoy hanging with is always more enjoyable then to sit home drinking or going out to a bar where you don't know anybody. I really enjoy social gatherings with my family and friends. They end up being the best times.

It's the only way that a drink truly tastes good to me. I don't mind the occasional beer or cup of wine by myself but it certainly doesn't taste as good.

Most holiday weekends I end up drinking wine, because it goes with the food for the most part, but I drink some Irish or Scotch Whiskey sometimes-and even mix some lime juice in the Whiskey as well and have it on the rocks. I would go with some good cheap Scotch Whisky like Clan Macgregor for a good mellow taste and also it has a fragrant smell as well.

Every weekend is an alcohol day for me. Both me and my husband love to drink and eat out every weekend. This is our stress relieving activity and we look forward towards it for the whole week. Rest of the week we do not drink at all.
