Aberfeldy Shows Off Gold 28-year-old

Aberfeldy Distillery recently released eight – yes, eight – bottles of Aberfeldy Gold of Pitilie 28-Year-Old Highland single malt Scotch whisky. The whisky was extracted and hand-bottled from a single 1985 cask which will no longer have whisky taken from it. Beside those rarities, the other distinction of the Aberfeldy 28-Year-Old is the packaging – the bottle is encased in ornate 22-carat and 24-carat gold plating – a reference to the name “Pitilie”, a stream in Scotland where gold has been discovered in the past.

Aberfeldy Gold of Pitilie 28-Year-Old retails for $4000 per bottle.

Unfortunately, I don't have an extra $4,000 lying around, and I couldn't even buy a $400 bottle of whiskey. :p

$400 already seems like too much, $4k is definitely an overkill but I guess if you have enough money and nothing to do with them why the hell not! :p
