Hey pals and gals. So, quite a bit of my life was during those dark times called the Cold War. Anyway, I'm watching a real downer of a flick from that period called The Day After. I'll date myself by saying I remember when this was on television originally. But, hey, time to lighten things up with something hilarious: Boozing with the Bomb: Alcohol in the Atomic Age

It might have been bad but I doubt that we will have adds like these running in the news paper anytime soon. :)

Ha, that was fun to read, I always wondered how life was back in the Cold War days. Oh, and Lee Merlin (Miss Atomic Bomb from 1957) is a hottie! :p

LOL! Yah, I think I'd have fallen out of my chair if I saw Civil Defense ad like that. One thing is for sure, it would get the reader's attention. ;)
