Do You Get Influenced By Alcohol Related Commercials?

I think I first got interested in Bud Black Label from seeing TV commercials about it. It sounded new and and innovative and something I wanted to try. Also, I think it was advertised alot on TV when Miller came out with their 64 calorie beer, it made it seem like something I wanted to try.
 
I'm at a point in life where I've had a lot of drinks and alcohol-related commercials rarely influence me because I know what's quality and what's not. Catchy commercials are simply eye-candy for me, they don't have a say in the choice I make when I buy alcohol.
 
It is nice you are immune to the lure of catchy advertising, however, most of us, probably are influenced to a degree, at least subliminally. It is just one of those things that we notice. even if not consciously.
 
I won't say that I am not affected by them but I will not go out of my way just to try something because I saw it on a ad. If I am in a situation that I have a choice and I can try something new I won't say that I won't try it but normally I find that it's more hype then anything else.
 
Honestly, no. I don't watch television hardly at all. I do read periodicals (aka magazines, a website printed on glossy paper) that have booze ads, but at this point in my life, I'm pretty set on my brands. Not that I wouldn't try something new, because I would, but the ad copy doesn't do much for me.
 
Commercials don't influence me much. Generally, I don't pick up commercial brand alcohol. I don't think I've ever seen a commercial for beer that made me want to go out and try it. I am more affected by word of mouth. If people are constantly telling me how amazing something is, I will eventually try it, at least once. I never look at commercials for guidance, though.
 
Some commercials are just stupid. I never really liked them and, thus, I've never been influenced by this part of media.
 
Speaking of stupid; does anyone remember those annoying Zima commercials from the 90s? Good grief, even 20 years later I remember had dumb they were. ;)
 
I don't remember the Zima commercials, but I will take your word for it.:p I would guess that some of them exist on youtube, so if you ever feel like you want to watch one, you can find one! I bet you will look them up today! Zima is a weird beverage. It is kind of like an alcoholic version of sprite.
