Do You Make Friends With Bar Stuff?

I consider myself an outgoing person, so I can talk to pretty much anybody who's not super drunk, of course. If you go to one place again and again, you will probably become recognizable and known there as a loyal visitor.

So, guys. What is your luck when it comes to making friends with someone from a bar's personnel?

Oh, damn! I've just realized I made a typo in the topic's title. That sucks. I hope you all understand that I meant "staff", not "stuff". Otherwise, it makes no goddamn sense whatsoever.

I am always nice and friendly with bar staff, no matter where I am at. The best way to do this is to make conversation, but don't keep them too busy and tip well! Bar staff will make you a better drink or recommend something great if they like you. They will call you the fastest cab if they like you. They will tell the hottie at the end of the bar who may be inquiring about you nice things instead of the truth if you are nice to them. The service industry is hard enough without making their job harder. Bar staff also can be extremely knowledgeable about an area if you aren't in your own stomping grounds too and are great for recommending other services/places, like restaurants, too.

That's all seems to be true. I also do another trick. If I'm ordering shots for me and my friends I usually buy an extra one and give it to the bartender If I like his/her presence and, thus, he/she is drinking with us as If he/she was a part of our group. It usually works well I'd say!

I tend to talk a lot when I am drinking so I meet a lot of different people but I rarely meet somebody that I become friends with. I don't have any particular bar that I frequent so I don't usually see the same people when I go out.

It's been my experience when I go to bars, that the bartenders are usually too busy to engage much in conversation. I rarely see them just lounging around and talking, they are usually stacking glasses, making drinks, doing inventory or in the kitchen. I really haven't engaged much in convo with them other than Hi how are you type stuff.

Kinda figured out that's what you meant. Yeah, I make friends with bar stuff (lol...) everywhere I go. I guess it stems from the fact that I used to work behind the bar a few years back so it's like we're family...

This used to happen to me back in time. However, things have changed since. I've been to a lot of places, so I can tell the ones I loved from the ones I don't really enjoy. So, I have a list of places I really love and I go there. The personnel is somewhat constant there. I rarely see new faces but If I see = I meet them.

I'm friends with the bartenders at my local clubs because they know me, though I don't catch them working everytime because they have different shifts. I'm not even the most outgoing person ever and I still manage to be friends with them, people at bars are really chill.
