Drink Making Resource Materials?

Do you have a resource online, an app you use or a bartenders guide to make drinks you haven;t made before? I don't have it but I know there is a drink making app you can find online. I like Liquor.com as a resource, because they have quite a bit of information about various types of liquor and drinks.
 
I use Liquor.com as well but I haven't heard of any drink making app that's actually useful. Maybe we should develop one! :D
 
Well Mixology is probably the main one that is available online. It is an app that is recommended by Liquor.com but I haven't used it. I once when to a bartending school of sorts as well so I have a manual, but I don't make enough fancy drinks to worry about actually.
 
I have never used any sort of guide. I don't usually make drinks at home because I feel like I would absolutely slaughter them. I have asked questions at the bar, but that's about it. I wonder if I were to use some of the apps people have mentioned, if it would help me.

You should try it out, making drinks at home can turn out to be a good thing. You can try out new mixes and maybe some good combinations.
 
You could look through the mixology app and see what appeals to you. Also, you could put your ingredients online google and see what comes up in terms of drinks you could make it with it...an app on your phone is simple enough though.
 
I have never used that website before. Thanks for the heads up. I usually use some bartender blogs or I check out hosting books from my local library. They have tons of recipes there.
 
Liquor.com is a pretty good resource for making new and innventive drinks. They really come up with some amazing combinations on that site. I think if you specifically wanted to use whisky as your base for the drinks you could put that into the search term.
