Glass, Or In The Container?

Now that we covered the bottle or can discussion...Do you drink your beer out of the bottle or can or do you prefer a glass? I usually drink out of the container, because I don't see the point in making a glass dirty, but sometimes if I want to see the foamy head on a beer I will use a glass.

Personally and in some rather intimate situations where all people are friends and we all know each other well I do drink from the container but I prefer bottles. If I am on some party that requires some decorum and good manners I use a glass. You may look as a hill billy if you do not use the glass in some occasions but these are occasions where I like the people who invited me.

I am not usually drinking with other people. If I had guests, I would offer glasses. It is part of entertaining I guess. I tend to have wine though if I am serving to other people, which of course necessitates a glass of some sort.

It depends, if it's a small 0.5l bottle I drink from it without any issue but if I buy beer in bulk I pour it in glasses. In general people in Romania drink beer from bottles so it's not out of the ordinary.

I mostly prefer drinking beer out of a glass. I'm kind of weird about it though. I'm perfectly content with drinking beer from a can, but if it's in a bottle I'll usually pour it in a glass. There's no justification as to WHY I do it, but it's just a weird habit I have.

If I am offering beer to someone, especially a lady, then I would enquire if they would prefer either in the bottle or in a glass. For myself, however, it's strictly the bottle, no need to be pulling out any glasses.

I prefer it from a bottle or can. I very rarely use a glass when I am drinking beer.

That is the main reason I prefer bottles to cans. I enjoy drinking both out of a bottle or a glass but not a big fan of drinking out of a can.

It is good in terms of being a good enviromental steward to just drink out of the container it comes in whether than having to use resources to wash a glass, but it is sometimes nicer to use glasses, say if you are having company for instance.

Either or both. If I have the time, or I'm not too lazy, I pour it into a glass. Otherwise, it is out of the the bottle. I don't normally drink canned beer, so that is a non-issue.

I had a BBQ yesterday and I remembered this thread. I always have a beer when ever I'm make a BBQ but always drink out of the bottle. I think there are places that drinking out of the bottle just tastes a whole lot better.

I like beer from a glass because it has more aroma, and its cool to see the foam form as you pour it. The foamy beer when you pour in a glass, activates the carbonation and it creates a great aroma from the bubbles. So you just don't get the aroma when you drink it from a bottle or can, like you do in a glass.

I think it's more dignifying drinking from the glass. Not just the respect alone you get to see the contents, should in case of any strange thing, better before you gush it down.

It all depends on my mood. There are times when I prefer the bottle whereas there are times when I like to hold the beer mug in my hand and then drink from it. There is no specific liking for anything in specific and it varies from day to day.

I usually like to pour whatever it is into my own thing so I would like the glass. I am not really sure why I am this way but I have the feeling it is common.
