I do like Heineken, it's a very easy beer to drink. If you want an easy beer to drink then it's a good option. I have friends that don't like it and think it doesn't have any character.

Eh, It's alright but I've never been a big fan of It. I really don't see the point of making a whole forum thread and only posting a picture with only two words... I'm sure that's why you haven't gotten any replies, it's best to try and be more engaging and interactive of you want replies. Tell us why you prefer this type of beer over others.

My boyfriend hates it warm and I like it warm! I think it's good and it's an affordable beer. I drink it in the summer and when we have BBQs at my house. That one and I drink Asahi when I want a lighter beer.

I consider Heineken to be one of the basic beers. I enjoy it but it's nothing special, I'll grab it sometimes from the store but that depends on what else is available and the price.

Yes, it's not my first choice either, I think it's good for people that don't like a full flavored beer.

Heniken is OK, but if I am going to pay extra money for an import it would likely not be Heniken. I think Belgium beer is superior actually. Heniken is just someting that is widely sold here, so most people have tried it.

Sorry but I'd rather support your boyfriend on that :) I really hate warm beer. It's just disgusting to me.

Btw, I agree with you on its affordability. It's not pricey and I'm loving it!

I have to say I like it. It is a bit expensive for my taste though but from time to time I like to drink a bottle or two. A funny story several years ago. It was an unofficial world championship in beer. I think it was in Germany 2006 before the world cup in football. The judges drank without knowing what brand they are having and every country that participated had a contender. In semi finals Jelen beer form my country, Serbia beat Heineken and after that lost to Pilsner Urquel from Czech republic of course. The first and original Pils.

One of my favorite beers here in Romania, it has a unique taste that you can't find everywhere.

I bеliеvе thаt it hаs а grеаt dеаl tо dо with fаshiоn. Pеоplе lаrgеly drink whаtеvеr bееr thеy drink bесаusе оf whаt thаt brаnd's mаrkеting sаys аbоut thе drinkеr.
Hеinеkеn hаs fоr а lоng timе bееn а brаnd thаt соnvеyеd аn imаgе оf соsmоpоlitаn sоphistiсаtiоn, whiсh is gооd fоr thеm bесаusе а lоt оf pеоplе dоn't likе thе bееr itsеlf.
My pеrsоnаl fееling, аnd I hаvе sоmе dеgrее оf еxpеrtisе hеrе, is thаt mоst pеоplе drink а сеrtаin bееr in оrdеr tо sеnd а mеssаgе аbоut hоw thеy wish tо bе pеrсеivеd. Thе сrаft bееr nеrd sееks tо соnvеy еxpеrtisе аnd аuthеntiсity;

I hаvе quitе а fеw rеаsоns why I сhооsе thе bееr thаt I will drink, thе fоrеmоst bеing tаstе, but I'm fаirly lаx оn thаt in thе right situаtiоn (mаinly situаtiоns whеrе I'm nоt buying). I gеnеrаlly dоn't likе tо gеt drunk middаy, оr еvеn gеt muсh оf а buzz, sо if I'm аt а bаrbесuе оr sоmе аll-dаy аffаir, I'll gо fоr sоmеthing light аnd сrisp likе а sеssiоn IPа оr dry sаisоn. Thеsе sеrvе thе sаmе purpоsе аs а Bud оr сооrs whilе prоviding mоrе tаstе fоr yоur dоllаr.
If I'm аt а bееr bаr with friеnds, I'll prоbаbly bе gоing fоr sоmеthing а littlе hеаviеr аs it's prоbаbly lаtеr in thе еvеning. Pеrhаps а bаrlеy winе оr sоmе sоrt оf bаrrеl-аgеd stоut. Thеy аrе thiсkеr, swееtеr, аnd оffеr up а mоrе соmplеx blеnd оf flаvоrs. Thеy will аlsо gеt yоu shit drunk rеаlly quiсk if yоu аrеn't саrеful.

аlsо, thе diffеrеnсе in priсе bеtwееn miсrоbrеwеriеs аnd mасrоbrеwеriеs is bесоming smаllеr аnd smаllеr, аnd I саn оftеn piсk up а 6 оf sоmеthing suсh аs Brооklyn Brеwеry's 1/2 аlе fоr аlmоst thе sаmе соst аs а 6 оf Millеr High Lifе. Thаt сhоiсе is prеtty сlеаr fоr mе.

Heineken is one of my very good beer, it seems to be the commonest or widely distributed beer out there. I like the alcohol content, looks moderate to me, not easily intoxicating in my view.

The choice would be clear for me as well. I'd definitely prefer something other than mass produced lager, even if it costs a tad bit more. I do notice the prices becoming a bit more competitive lately too.

I used to like High Life. My husband spoiled me with craft beer, and now I much prefer it. No more cheap dates here! :p

For me Heineken is your standard basic beer. It's not very strong in terms of alcohol content and is more of a refreshing drink when served cold, rather than being an actual lager that a connoisseur would choose.

Like others have said, the mass produced beers are never as nice I don't think, but at the same time I think we have to be careful of beer snobbery. Walking into a bar and asking what craft beers they serve and turning your nose up at the others is going a little to far in my opinion.

Some people thrive on being beer snobs though, ha ha. ;)

I could still drink an average beer, but I just prefer not to do so. It's like good food. If you know one brand is better than another, you're going to prefer it. It might not always be available or affordable though, so then you make do with what is.

Most bars these days seem to at least pretend to cater to the craft beer crowd, even if they only offer something like Blue Moon (which I don't really feel qualifies).

I have always enjoyed it. It is a better one of the lighter beers in my opinion. I do not really buy it all that much but have never turned one down.

Every Heineken I've ever had tasted skunky to me. I don't know if they're past their best by date when you get them in bars or what. I just never had one that really tasted good.

That was back when I drank typical beer and had never even heard of craft beer. I was just never really a fan of this brand, although I knew lots of other people who liked it.

I remember people back in the day at the university I attended, drinking this beer and they liked it,but it never was one of my favourites. A bottle with a clear or green colour can get skunked(beer gets a skunked taste) by the ultraviolet light rays that permeate the bottle and then interacts with the hops. I would go with beer in cans or brown bottles for a better taste.
