It probably depends on which company pays him the most. There is no such thing as brand loyalty when it comes to endorsements.
 
I love Archer. It's an incredible series that's full of laughs and general craziness. I still need to catch up on about half of the most recent season, though.
 
Thats a great show. I still don't think Archer would stray too far from his mixed drinks or martinis. Light beer just wouldn't suit him.
 
I'm not familiar with Archer, never watched the series but I know for a fact that he's probably going to drink something pretty extravagant, maybe not something as dull as beer.

Exactly! Martinis just fit him better, though I guess I can see him drinking light beerin order to blend in or if someone offered it to him, but I don't think he would make drinking beer a habit.
 
Coors is the best! Tap the Rockies!!!!!!!It's a little watered down, but that's how I like it when I'm drinking 20 cans in a sitting.
 
Does anyone here have an Oktoberfest celebration near you? I remember there is a good one out in San Francisco. I'd like to try to go to one sometime soon.
 
Yes, actually they do have one at Fort Belvoir a military base maybe an hour from here depending on traffic. Actually, an hour and a half is probably more realistic. Since, many of the troops there come back from being deployed to Germany the Oktoberfest is something they do every year.

We don't have one around here but I would love to attend one. They look like so much fun! Maybe some day I will make it happen.
 
I think it will depend entirely on which of these two beer brands they decide to sponsor the show with.

I'm going to second what a previous poster said. His drink will depend on who pays the most in advertising. A lot of companies will fork out money to be advertised in a series.
 
Well I guess everybody has their preferences and favorites. However, I think that the company paying money to have the beer featured in ads like others have said is the reason behind this.
 
It'd be nice to see him take a sip of a small brewerie's beer, but alas it's not going to happen. It's a money making pool when it comes to air time. :(

I can't imagine him with a beer in hand instead of a cocktail! I sure hope they turn him into a Coors Light man! I don't mind product placement but it drives me crazy when it doesn't work with the plot or the characters. Maybe some of the side characters can drink the beer instead of Archer?

This is super random, but because you mentioned product placement it reminded me of Fight Club. Fun fact, there is supposed to be a star bucks cup in every single Fight Club scene. It has absolutely nothing to do with the plot, but it made me laugh because you don't even notice it.
