Reno

nevada is not the garden spot of the world [breaking news] but the nugget is a good place to hang out for old school "charm" while wolfing down the signature awful awful with whatever alcohol-based liquid of your choice during march madness

I have never been to Reno but it is another place that is on my Bucket List to see. I always hear great things about it. I have many friends who go there at least once a year. Maybe someday I will tag along and see what it is all about. :)

Wish I lived close to Reno, heard a lot of good things about it and its night life. A lot of cool stuff around there, worth a visit.

I dig Reno. It is not Vegas, but it has a certain low-key charm that is hard not to like. There are good places to gamble and the booze is top notch. What else can a guy ask for?

This sounds great. I am going to have to frequent this establishment the next time I am in Vegas. Thanks for sharing.

I guess that is all you could really want! Sounds like a great place to me. Someday maybe I will get to see and experience it!

I haven't visited Reno, but I've heard it's a hell of a time. I've heard nothing but good things about it. I could see myself enjoying myself and really getting into the whole experience of it.

My friends daughter just got hired as a back up dancer for J Lo. at her Vegas show. So there has been talk that a bunch of us girls are going to get together and go to Vegas to check out the show. We might even get some back stage passes. That would be exciting! :)

I don't know… I lived in Vegas for a few years and had a fun time, but I really didn't enjoy Reno. I only got to spend 1 weekend, and then 1 other night there so I can't say I saw everything but I felt like it was a disappointment after spending time in Vegas. It isn't much cheaper and there is so much less to see.

The only real benefit is that there are some cool ghost towns and natural stuff nearby (I mean it is very close to Lake Tahoe so it can be a nice short add-on to a trip). Other than that though, I find it a disappointing place to party or gamble.

I like to think of Reno as Las Vegas' more sophisticated older cousin. I tend to see older crowds with more money there. No problem with that!

I think this is the best way to describe Reno. Whenever my friends or family come home from Reno, it sounds as if they're describing Vegas, except not as crazy. It's definitely a place for older crowds as well. Honestly, I'd prefer to go to a place with older crowds.

I always wondered what the difference was between the two. Now I know! I think if that is the case then I would prefer Reno then.

Same here. I like partying with an older crowd because there is less drama to deal with. Las Vegas appeals to me in a way that I'd like to see it once, but I don't think I'd ever want to go back for any reason.

Oh really...:( I guess I will have to check it out for myself someday. I know Vegas is such a happening place so I can see just about any place being boring after living there!

Ok so I guess Reno is where the classy folks go when they want a little bit of Vegas and the hip and wild folks go to Las Vegas. I want to go to both and decide for myself.

I have never been to Reno, but I really like Vegas...so maybe sometime I could take a day trip or something to Reno, if I am in the Vegas area...or maybe they are too far apart for that, I am not really sure of the distance between the two.
