What Is The Worst Whiskey You Have Ever Had

I once bought a no name brand whiskey bottle to have with my friends. It was awful it tasted like turpentine and this after it was mixed with coke.
As soon as I swallowed it. It felt like it turned my stomach inside out. I swore never to do that again.

There is a kind they sell here called Senators Club. I wouldn't describe it as awful, but it is nothing to write home about either. Do they really make bad whiskies? I think there is something to love about all of it!

If it's made buy a reputable whiskey company no, but there are some whiskey knock offs out there. Those can be unpredictable, some might be fine, but others can really be bad.

I mean I am usually mixing whiskey with something else, so the taste of it doesn't really matter as much to me I guess. I think if you are drinking your whiskey straight you are more likely to notice quality factors anyway.

That's the best way to see if a whiskey is good or not, you can add a little water to make it a little smoother and get those other tastes that might be over powered if you drink it neat.

Oh I can't remember the name but it was the cheapest stuff that they had at the liquor store. I figured why not? After one drink I knew why not. The stuff was terrible. I couldn't even drink the rest of it which is unusual for me to pour liquor down the drain.

I hate to say it, but pretty much any blended Canadian Whiskey. It is one of the few types of booze I've poured down the drain. I know it has a following, but it just isn't for me.

A bottle of really old Seagram's 7 when I was a teenager.

Slipped it out of my parents house, went shot for shot with a friends, and filled his sink with puke in the morning.

Even better, it was Sunday night and we couldn't make it to school the next day.

Parent's were not happy.

I've had some pretty nasty stuff, u think the worst was at this really crappy little bar. My husband ordered Jim Beam and I took a sip... It wasn't Jim Beam. It was nasty!

Whiskey takes a long time to mature so that's why it's not cheap. Those imitation whiskeys can really be nasty stuff.

I once when to a bar that was promoting Sailor Jerry shots for a dollar. My friends all got in line because it was only a dollar, but the shots were so warm and it burned like heck!

Ohh I've had some bad ones. Of course the basic cheap ones can be horrible but I ran into one "higher quality" one that I found to be bad... I can't remember the name. It was from Islay and I was expecting it to be really nice but the smoky taste was too strong and the whiskey kinda felt stale.

Just having a shot of whiskey is already bad, I like to have it in a big glass and sip it. Having it as a shot will just kill the taste.

When I was younger and I was buying cheap whiskey because I was broke, it tasted like rubber but I had to work with what I had! :D

Yeah, you have to do what you have to do. I have no idea what they put into cheap whiskey that makes it have that taste.

I always enjoyed most of the cheaper whiskey brands, but my farvorite cheap whiskies are going to be the irish ones becuse they are smooth and sweet. Some great and rather cheap irish whiskies are Bushmills and it taste of grain and honey also try Tullamore Dew which has a taste of toffee and citrus.

Johnny walker red is the definitely the worst i have ever had, the first sip i took burned my lips.

There have been some interesting ones, but I think some of the worst are just the random ones that I have been given, mostly because they are coming at very inopportune times.

Sometime ago while on a journey Whiskey was being served. I decided to get one and was served randomly. It didn't have the kind of taste I like. I just took a very little n let the others out, funny enough I didn't take note of the name.
