Where Can Find Less Common Whiskeys In The Us (tobermory)

When I was in Scotland I become very fond of a rather mild single malt whiskey called Tobermory. I have not been able to get any since moving to the US. I was wondering if anyone knows a store that might carry it or a reasonably priced online ordering service? I can find it online but the shipping seems pricy and I am not familiar with the companies and so hesitate to give them my payment information.

It is possible your local liquor store could order it for you, if not they may be able to give you an idea where you could locate it. You may also find it turns up in a store when you least expect it. I have a certain type of wine I am interested in, and it is hard to find, but on occassion I have seen it in stores.

Have you checked Amazon?

I was dating this chick from Peru a couple of years ago, and she was always talking about this drink they have over there called Chicha de Jora.
I was able to get that and Pisco (another Peruvian drink) from Amazon.
If I was able to get that from Amazon, I'd bet you'll be able to find the whiskys you're looking...

International shipping may sting a bit, but that's life.

eBay surely has some of the more obscure types of whisky, I imagine you can find some providers that don't charge that much for shipping.

It is not on Amazon unless you count the Tobermory flavored fudge. I guess I can try Ebay but unless it is a reputable company behind the listing, that would be a bit of a risk. They could put any old rubbish in a Tobermory bottle. How would I prove otherwise.
