Haha, you might be surprised. Location is a pretty important factor, every country has different tastes and their beverages are thus different in flavor.

I wish I got paid to participate in a study like this! They do a lot of whisky tastings in Los Angeles and they always do them in swanky clubs or venues. I think that helps to get us to become loyal to the brand!

I don't think it's that hard as long as you're used to the routine, those guys probably do this everyday. :p I wish I would be paid to test beverages.
 
Being paid to test liquor would be an awesome job. You would get to taste things that you normally wouldn't buy. A professional taste tester sounds like great job to me. A career change could be in order.

That would be awesome, although it would require adequate training. It seems easy to taste drinks and food but you have to be good at it. I know it sounds funny, but it's the truth. :p

Oh I know it. I had a friend who was a taste tester and there was a lot involved in it. Also it is all not going to be good. Some of it would be just awful I'm sure.
 
Wow that is fascinating. Something for bar owners to take note of definitely! I wonder what else effects the taste that may not seem related? That definitely looks like a fun study!
 
Wow, it would be a lot of fun to taste liquor for a living. I think I could handle it! I wonder who drives home...lol

Where my friend worked the company provided the transportation at the end of the day.

I would love to do this, but then I would be afraid of taking it too far and damaging my liver since I would want to take extra sips "just to be sure" the liquor is in good standing;)

I feel the same. As much as I would love to rest liquor for a living, I think it would take a huge toll on my health. I can't imagine the liver damage.
