Speyside Brings Byron To Your Holiday Party

Speyside Distillery is very fond of their famous poet son, Lord Byron, because not only do they celebrate his poet greatness with specific themed bottles of whisky, they even celebrate his two-year marriage 200 years after it happened, with a special limited edition bottle of whisky. In this case, it is a whisky called Byron's Choice that celebrates his 1815 wedding anniversary to Annabelle Millbanke, which lasted all of two years, but that is good enough of an occasion to produce a bottle of single malt Scotch whisky. Byron's Choice was aged in port wine casks and bottled at 46% alcohol content [92 proof].

Only 1200 bottles of Byron's Choice single malt Scotch whisky have been produced and will be sold for $145 per bottle this holiday season.

I really like when they do the limited editions. It is a great idea and a good seller. Everybody wants in on it before it is gone.

$145 is relatively cheap for a limited edition collection, but it's still a quality drink.

Limited editions are the best and really good for business too. Everyone wants it so they hike up the price.

Wow, just look at that bottle. It looks nothing like a regular whiskey bottle. The color is also very deep I bet it's really smooth.

I guess some people tend to buy this because of a "limited" label. There's definitely some marketing in it.

I think this would be great for a special occassion gift for the holiday season. I really wouldn't spend that much on a bottle of whiskey though honestly. I am sure it tastes great though, and would be a conversation piece for sure. This is one of the things that you are looking forward to.

Yeah, sure! For example, I'm friends with someone for 20 years. So, If I give them 20-year old whiskey on the friendship anniversary... that would be a great idea.

I have to agree with everyone else... Seems like a good deal to me. I was I could order alcohol online but it's illegal in my state.

I love any special edition collection to add to my own personal collection. It sounds quite impressive and right at my price point right now. Can't wait to get a taste.

As much as I would love to try out this whisky, $145 is quite expensive to spend it all on whisky. Maybe next time, when I finally have a lot of money to spare.

I am pretty sure I would not make it out alive if the misses found me spending that much on whiskey, but man it makes me wish I was one of those people who have those means. Maybe one of these days it will be a reality.
