Johnnie Walker Unveils 50-Year-Old Masters’ Edition
Johnnie Walker has unveiled their 50-Year-Old Masters’ Edition with a blend featuring single malt whiskies from Glen Albyn, Glenury Royal and Blair Athol distilleries along with grain whiskies from Caledonian, Cambus and Port Dundas. [Blair Athol is the only currently operational distillery of this group].
The John Walker Masters’ Edition is a triple-matured Scotch whisky finished in small batches in a cask composed of 100-year-old oak staves and subsequently bottled at 43.3% alcohol by volume [86.6 proof] and is said to contain notes of chocolate and citrus.
A mere 100 bottles of the John Walker Masters’ Edition will be made available in selected worldwide markets for a whopping $25,000 per bottle.
