You May Now Discover Shackleton Whisky
A new whisky has been “discovered” – Shackleton blended Scotch malt whisky – named after the famed British explorer, Sir Ernest Shackleton [who passed away in 1922] who led numerous South Polar expeditions.
During one of his polar expeditions in 1907, Shackleton had brought along 25 cases of a Highland whisky, three of these cases were discovered in 2007 – preserved in pristine frozen condition in the ice beneath Shackleton’s base camp. Samples of this find were used as the foundation for Shackleton Scotch whisky.
Shackleton Whisky has already been launched in the will launched UK and France and will be arriving on USA shores in September 2017.
